Documented  Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border of the USSR

 

Early solid silver variation

 

Awarded to Alexander Vasilyevich Fedyashin (Александр Васильевич Федящин)

 

 

Made of solid silver. It measures 32.12 mm in width and 3.03 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.06 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 21.2 grams without its suspension.

 

In nice condition with crisp details. It shows several small dings and scratches on both sides but its details are still perfectly visible. Both sides show a light patina to the silver and its connection ring has not been cut. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension and ribbon.

 

Its accompanying document is in excellent condition with its pages securely attached to the cover. It is dated 26 May 1962 and numbered 007368
