Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border
Post Soviet Issue without the letters CCCP on its reverse (1992-1994)
Made of German silver. It measures 32.25 mm in width and 2.94 mm in thickness at the very edge of the medal. The height of the medal is 37.12 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 17.3 gram.
The medal is in near mint condition. It shows no wear and even the details at the higher laying parts are perfectly crisp. It obverse shows a typical oil like black coating which is very typical for this variation. It comes with its time period suspension and ribbon.
Scarce variation and next to impossible to upgrade. Hard to find!
Awarded to K.G.B. Border Troops personnel for military or other actions displaying excellence in guarding the borders of the Russian Federation.
