Group of Soviet medals mounted on an old brass suspension
Would make an interesting research project
This group consists of the following items:
Medal for Combat Merit #1843389
Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 37.39 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.18 mm in width and weighs 18.2 grams. In good condition with most details visible and most of the original red lacquer present. Its connection ring has not been cut. Most likely awarded in the second half of 1944.
Medal for the Capture of ViennaÂ
Made of brass. Measures 36.83 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.26 mm in width and weighs 17.4 grams. The medal is in problem free condition with moderate wear and several small dings and scratches.
Medal for Victory over Germany
Made of brass. Measures 36.57 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.14 mm in width and weighs 16.6 grams. In nice condition with light to medium wear and some of the original gold-like luster still present.
