Description
Group of Soviet Medals mounted on an suspension
Would make an interesting research project
The group consists of the following items:
Medal for Bravery #2229571
Made of solid silver. Measures 42.60 mm in height (including its eyelet), 37.25 mm in width and weighs 28.0 grams.
The medal is in nice condition with crisp details and a medium patina to the silver. Almost all of the original red lacquer is still present which is not often seen. Its connection ring has not been cut. Most likely awarded in the spring of 1945.
Medal for the Liberation of PragueÂ
Made of brass. Measures 37.15 mm in height (including its eyelet), 32.21 mm in width and weighs 17.4 grams.
The medal is in excellent condition with all details visible. Both sides show relatively few dings and scratches and much of the original gold-like luster is still present.
Medal for the Capture of Berlin
Made of brass. Measures 37.75 mm in height, 32.25 mm in width and weighs 17.2 grams.
In great condition with well preserved details and small dings and some small scratches only.
Medal for the Victory over Germany
Made of brass. Measures 37.07 mm in height, 32.18 mm in width and weighs 17.5 grams.
In similar condition and the other campaign medals with much of its original luster present.
We believe the medals belong together, although the Medal for Bravery has not been researched. The consistent patina, wear, and overall condition support this assessment. If future research proves the medals were not awarded to the same individual, the medal bar can be returned for a full refund.
