Group of Soviet medals consisting of 2 Medals for Bravery
Awarded to private Vasilij Kuzmich Naumlyuk (Василий Кузьмич Наумлюк)
For suppressing 2 enemy machine-gun positions. After that, he was wounded, but managed to save his machine-gun
The group consists of the following items:
Medal for Bravery #1844895
Made of solid silver. Measures 42.47 mm in height (including its eyelet), 37.31 mm in width and weighs 27.4 grams. The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details. All of the red lacquer is present which is not often seen. Its connection ring has not been cut and both sides show an interesting patina which is similar to the patina of the 2nd Medal for Bravery.
Medal for Bravery #3567475
Made of solid silver. Measures 42.58 mm in height (including its eyelet), 37.24 mm in width and weighs 26.4 grams. In nice condition with most details visible and several small dings and scratches. Most of the red lacquer is still present and its connection ring has not been cut.
Medal for the Victory over Germany
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 36.61 mm in height, 32.16 mm in width and weighs 16.9 grams. Both sides show only few small dings and scratches and much gold plating is still present.
Citation BM 1844895
- Ammunition bearer of the 1st machine-gun company, Pvt. NAUMLYUK Vasilij Kuzmich is bestowed for the action on 06 October 1944 near the village Birzhany, in which he selflessly kept bringing ammunition for his machine-gun crew under enemy fire, and thus enabled continuous fire at the enemy.
Citation Medal for Bravery #3567475
Heavy machine-gun gunner of the 1st machine-gun company, Pvt. NAUMLYUK Vasilij Kuzmich is bestowed for an action, in which he suppressed 2 enemy machine-gun positions on 29 January 1945. After that, he was being wounded, but managed to save his machine-gun.
