Excellent Service in MVD Badge
Made out of gilded brass, German silver and enamel. Measures 44.06 mm in height; 30.11 mm in width and weighs 21.2 gram without its screw plate.
This Excellent MVD badge is in excellent condition with all gold plating present and problem free enamels.
Established in 1985 and issued until the collapse of the USSR in 1991. The badge was awarded for excellent service to correctional officers and other MVD personnel of jails and forced labor camps. It was also issued to faculty and staff of the MVD schools that trained personnel for Soviet penitentiary system.
