Made out of gilded brass, German silver and enamel. Measures 44.15 mm in height, 30.27 mm in width and weighs 22.3 gram without its screw plate.
Perfect piece in mint condition with well fitted screwplate and original award box. It comes with a blank award document.
Established in 1985 and issued until the collapse of the USSR in 1991. The badge was awarded for excellent service to officers and other MVD personnel of jails and forced labor camps. It was also issued to faculty and staff of the MVD schools that trained personnel for Soviet penitentiary system.
