Description
Excellent Artillery BadgeÂ
First variation with separately attached hammer & sickle ca. 1942
Made of brass and enamels. Measures 45.28 mm in height, 36.55 mm in width and it weighs 14.7 grams without its screwplate.
The badge is in excellent, above average condition considering it is an early wartime piece. Its details are still visible and even the raised parts show light wear only. The hammer and sickle is original to the badge and firmly affixed. The red and white enamels are well preserved without repairs and show a minor superficial chip underneath the hammer and sickle. Its screw has not been shortened and the badge comes with a time period (but possibly not correct) screwplate.
Rare piece, especially in this condition
