Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:

In the combat engagement for the settlement Jastersdorf (32km south-west of the town Moravska Ostrava) on 05 May 1945, submachine-gunner Guards Jr. Sergeant MIROSHNICHENKO Evgeny Nikolaevich exhibited courage and bravery in the fight against the German invaders. Acting as a mobile assault force on top of tanks, the group of submachine-gunners reached the outskirts of Jastersdorf. The enemy stubbornly defended with the aim to hold an advantageous position. MIROSHNICHENKO exhibited personal initiative: he advanced ahead of the main force and imposed fire pressure over the enemy, utilising his personal automatic firearm and grenades. The Germans faltered under the thrust of the brave and began retreating in disarray. MIROSHNICHENKO eliminated 5 Hitlerites by the fire of his submachine-gun in this engagement.

He is devoted to the cause of the Lenin-Stalin party and the Socialist Motherland. For exhibited courage and bravery, he deserves state award order “GLORY III CLASS”.
