Awarded to Guards Private Ivan Mitrofanovich Mishin (Иван Митрофанович Мишин)
The group consists of the following items:
Medal for the Liberation of Belgrade variation 2:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.11 mm in width, 37.18 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.1 gram.Â
This medal is in a great, well above average condition with crisp details. There are few dings and small scratches only and much of the gold plating is still present. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension
The medal comes with its problem free document dated ‘4 July 1947’ and is numbered A 107244
Medal for the Capture of Budapest variation 2:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.11 mm in width, 37.26 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.4 gram.
In excellent condition with light wear and most gold plating present. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension.
The medal comes with its problem free document dated ‘3 July 1947’ and is numbered A 353467
Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad variation 1:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.29 mm in width, 37.04 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.4 gram.
This medal is in a decent condition with medium wear on both sides. Most details however are still visible and the medal comes with its old and double layer suspension and uncut connection ring.
The medal comes with its problem free certificate dated ‘9 August 1943’ and is numbered G 21189 (the degree for this medal with matching number can be found in the picture gallery).
Medal for the Victory over Germany variation 1:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.20 mm in width, 37.53 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.6 gram.
This medal is in excellent condition with light wear and most gold plating present. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension
The medal comes with its problem free document dated ‘2 March 1946’ and is numbered M 0453914
Award Booklet:
Also in this lot is Private Mishin award booklet mentioning an Order of the Red Star and a Medal for Bravery. Unfortunately these awards are not in the group.
Military Passport:
In a worn but decent condition with all pages firmly attached. An original picture can be found on the first page
