Order of the Red Star #701703

Working as the head of organisation and planning section of the brigade rear area since 25 October 1942, he proved himself as an energetic, initiative, disciplined, and very knowledgeable in how rear services of a unit work.

During the period of combat operation agains the Finnish invaders from 20-24 June 1944, brigade rear area commander was wounded and taken out of action, so that the whole responsibility for the rear area and materiel supplies was delegated to comrade SCHINOV.

There were only 36 trucks GAZ-AA available in the brigade rear area for delivery of ammunitions, fuel, horse fodder, etc. At the same time, the pace of the brigade advance required relocation of the rear area positions and depots every 2 days, which would require 150-200 trucks.

Despite those facts and by means of personal example and ability of tireless work, comrade SCHINOV organised relocation of the brigade rear area functions. Such, when the brigade was advancing 30-40km per day seizing the settlements Svir’stroj, Pryazha, Suoyarvi, and others, the brigade rear area functions were following closely the advancing troops. The functions like field bakery, supplies distribution point, and others could provide full support, which ensured success in the combat operations.

Major SCHINOV is fully devoted to the Motherland and deserves to be bestowed with state award order “PATRIOTIC WAR I CLASS”. [later downgraded to a Red Star]

This effort assisted the defeat of enemy near the settlement Nikel’.

For excellent organisation of material supplies during ghettos combat operation for Nikel’, he deserves order “PATRIOTIC WAR I CLASS”.

Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class #444010

During the offensive operation during March–April 1945, under the conditions of the spring muddy roads, supplying the brigade’s units with everything necessary for life and combat became especially difficult.

Through his highly efficient and initiative-driven work, Major SCHINOV organised uninterrupted logistical and material support for the brigade’s units with everything required for life and combat, thereby contributing to the successful completion of the combat missions assigned to the brigade.

By his organisational efforts, he directed the entire rear services personnel of the brigade toward accomplishing the combat tasks assigned to the brigade and ensured the continuous functioning of all rear departments to provide the units with everything necessary.

For uninterrupted supply of the brigade’s units with everything needed for life and combat under the conditions of the spring thaw, he is worthy of being awarded the order of “PATRIOTIC WAR II CLASS”.
