Awarded to gun commander Senior Sergeant Ivan Ivanovich Tremba (Иван Иванович Тремба)

 

For killing 20 German soldiers and officers at Jassy Offensive (Romania) in August 1944 and being wounded twice during the war

 

 

The group consists of the following items:

 

Medal for Bravery #2857997 with its medal booklet

Made of solid silver. Measures 42.15 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.27 mm in width and weighs 26.3 grams. The medal is in nice condition with relatively few dings and scratches. The details are perfectly crisp and a most of the original red lacquer still present. The medal comes with its time period suspension and old ribbon and its connection ring has not been cut.

Its accompanying booklet is in great condition with all pages firmly attached. It mentions this medal only.

 

Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class #3304623 with document

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.22 mm in height, 44.35 mm in width and weighs 27.4 grams without its screwplate. In superb condition with crisp details and stunning enamels.

Comes with its document in perfect condition

 

Medal for the Victory over Germany with document

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 37.03 mm in height, 32.19 mm in width and weighs 17.6 grams. In nice condition with all details crisp.

In decent condition and shows the number Ц 0079589 on its reverse.

 

 

Short excerpt on the citation for the medal of bravery:

During the fight against the German occupiers, showed perseverance and courage during the battle of Jassy in August 1944. With his gun he killed 20 German soldiers and officers. During the war for the Soviet Motherland he was two times wounded.
