Documented group of an Order of the Red Star #2167177, Medal for Combat Merit #1362574 and a Medal for Stalingrad

Awarded to female Lieutenant Nadezhda Filippovna Glupak (Надежда Филипповна Глупак)

For efficient political work and inspiring the personnel for completion of the units combat mission as well as her work as senior field medic at the army field bakery

The group consists of the following items:

Order of the Red Star #2167177

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.96 mm in width, 47.25 mm in height and weighs 31.3 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. This piece was manufactured by the Moscow Platinpribor Factory (MZPP)

The order is nice condition with medium wear to the raised silver parts. The enamels are well preserved and without repairs but show 2 minuscule chips on the very tips of the 12 and 3 o’clock rays; not penetrating to the silver and hardly visible with the naked eye. Its reverse is in excellent condition and shows a medium patina. Its screw has not been shortened and the order comes with its time period and well fitted screwplate

Medal for Combat Merit #1362574 with document

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 32.28 mm in width, 37.25 mm in height and weighs 18.1 grams without its suspension.

The medal is in great, well above average condition for a wartime ‘Combat Merit’. Most of the original lacquer filling the letters ‘CCCP’ is still present and the details to the raised parts are still well defined. Both sides show a dark patina and its connection ring has not been cut.

Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad

Made of brass. Measures 32.03 mm in diameter, 37.22 mm in height and weighs 17.6 grams without its suspension.

The medal is in worn condition with several dings and scratches on both sides. Most details on its obverse are still visible but its reverse shows more wear. Its connection ring has been cut.

Order Booklet

Lt. Glupak’s order booklet is in nice condition with all pages present and mentions both numbered awards above.
