Complete Documented group of Soviet Awards

 

Awarded to Sergeant Alexander Stepanovich Isakov (Александр Степанович Исаков)

 

For serving 250 combat flights for communication and bombing enemy forces, without any instances of the material part failing in flight or failing to complete combat tasks due to poor preparation. He knows the PO-2 aircraft and the M-11 engine excellently, operates and maintains them in exemplary technical condition

 

 

The group consists of the following items:

 

Order of the Red Star #1143008

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 48.27 mm in height, 49.72 mm in width and weighs 30.6 grams without screwplate. The mint mark Monetni Dvor in two lines is located above its screwpost and the serial number at the bottom.

In excellent, above average condition with problem free enamels and without repairs. Its details are mostly visible and its reverse shows a medium dark patina. Its screw is full length and the well fitted screwplate is time period to the order.

 

Medal for Combat Merit #159184

Made of solid silver. The medal itself measures 32.17 mm in diameter and 36.89 mm in height including the eyelet. It weighs 21.6 grams without its suspension and 29.8 grams with the suspension but without the nut. The eyelet is 5.26 mm in width and the suspension measures 25.17 mm in width at its narrowest point and 31.29 at its widest point.

The medal is in decent condition with several dings and scratches and medium overall wear. A fair amount details are still visible and the red lacquer is worn off. The silver suspension is original as is the brass screw, the nut, the plate holding the ribbon and the screw plate tightening it all up. Its connection ring has not been cut.

 

Medal for the Capture of Budapest

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.31 in diameter and weighs 16.6 grams without suspension.

The medal is in nice condition with crisp details and some of the the gold plating still present.The medal comes with a single layer brass suspension.

 

Medal for the Victory over Germany 

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.32 in diameter and weighs 17.1 grams without suspension.

In nice condition with a fair amount of gold plating present. Both sides show several dings and scratches but most details are still visible. The medal comes with a late Soviet aluminium suspension.
