The group consists of the following items:
Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class #5441340
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 44.24 mm in width, 48.18 mm in height and it weighs 26.8 gram without its screwplate.Â
In excellent condition with pristine enamels and an appealing patina on both sides. The order shows relatively few dings and small scratches on either side and its screw has not been shortened.
Its accompanying order booklet shows the corresponding serial number and is in excellent condition as well
Medal for Combat Merit #1198682
Made of silver and red lacquer. Measures 32.32 mm in width, 37.17 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.8.Â
In nice condition with medium overall wear and most details still visible. All of the red lacquer is lost and both sides show several small dings and small scratches. Its connection ring has not been cut.
This medal comes with its medal booklet mentioning this medal and the 2 other Medals for Combat Merit below. In a nice, vintage condition with all pages present and firmly attached to its cover.
Medal for Combat Merit #1348322
Made of silver and red lacquer. Measures 32.19 mm in width, 37.12 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.5 gram.Â
In nice condition with medium overall wear and most details still visible. Virtually all of the red lacquer is lost and both sides show several small dings and small scratches. Its connection ring has not been cut.
Medal for Combat Merit w/o Number
Made of silver and red lacquer. Measures 32.22 mm in width, 37.20 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 19.4 gram without suspension.Â
This medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and perfect enamels. There are relatively few dings and small scratches and both sides show a nice, even dark patina. Its connection ring has not been cut.
Medal for the Victory over Germany
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.10 mm in width, 36.27 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 16.1.
In great condition with light wear only and most gold plating still present.

Mongolian Friendship Medal #1151
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 36.04 mm in width, 41.05 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 20.5 gram without suspension.Â
This medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and flawless enamels on both the medal itself as its suspension. There are relatively few dings and small scratches and both sides and shows a nice even patina. Its connection ring has not been cut and its silver suspension is original to the medal.
Its accompanying order booklet shows the corresponding serial number and is in excellent condition as well with all pages present

Citation Combat Merit Medal #1348322
Comrade SMOLIN has always been very reliable and diligent in supervision the telephone lines assigned to him. Such as, in the offensive operation since 17 July 1944, he promptly repaired all the damages to the line.
In the combat engagements during 12-19 August 1944, comrade SMOLIN was servicing the telephone line in the vicinity of the village Pielaszów, Sandomierz region [Poland]. Under constant enemy artillery and mortar barrage, he repaired numerous telephone line damages during both day and night. On 19 August 1944, when the enemy attempted a counter attack, the telephone line was severed in several places by the enemy mortar fire. Comrade SMOLIN , despite the enemy fire, went out to the field and repaired 7 line breaks in the course of 10 minutes. On the same day, comrade SMOLIM went out 5 times to fix the line on different occasions. His effort allowed the command to maintain constant governance of the forces on the battlefield.
