 Four Soviet medals mounted on a Bar
The group consists of the following items:
Medal for the Capture of Vienna:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.18 mm in width, 37.20 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.4 gram.Â
This medal is in excellent condition with few traces of wear. There are almost no dings and scratches and all details are perfectly visible.
Medal for the Capture of Berlin:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.14 mm in width, 37.47 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.0 gram.
This medal is in excellent condition with light wear and few dings and scratches.
Medal for the Victory over Germany:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.22 mm in width, 36.56 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 16.6 gram.
This medal is in excellent condition with virtually no wear and crisp details.
Jubilee Medal for 30 years of the Red Army:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.24 mm in width, 37.22 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.5 gram.
This medal is in excellent condition with almost no wear and crisp details.
Its worth mentioning that the medals in this set show a very strong gold plating. Much more than usually seen. I am not sure why this is, but maybe the medals were plated again over time. The condition of the medals however is sublime so I am not sure why this would have been needed.
