Soviet Medal for the Construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway

This Soviet medal for the Construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway is made out of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.15 mm in diameter and it weighs 16.7 gram not including its suspension. The reverse of the eyelet is stamped ‘LMD’ (ЛМД) for Leningrad mint.

The medal is in superb condition with all details crisp and no dings or scratches. Even the higher laying parts are pristine. It comes with its time period suspension and original, time period ribbon.

Awarded to workers on the Baikul-Amur Railway (BAM). For 2 years outstanding service between 1974 and 1984.
