Awarded by the MVD
Made of silver and gold plated brass and enamels. Measures 31.48 mm in height, 25.44 mm in width and weighs 10.1 gram without its screwplate.
In excellent condition with beautiful and problem enamels. Its details are all crisp and almost all of the silver and gold plating is still present. Its screw has not been shortened and its screwplate is original to the badge.
At first glance these badges seem innocuous (badges for construction, development, canals, etc). But, in fact, they were GULAG labor camps which dotted the Soviet landscape.Â
This badge was awarded to workers and engineering and technical employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR for achievements in the construction and development of the mining industry, transport and other farms of the Pechora basin.
