Awarded to Gurgen Arutyonovich Bugayan (Гурген Арутюнович Бугаян)
Extremely rare and early variation
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 38.23 mm in height, 28.27 mm in width and it weighs 21.2 gram without its screwplate. The minimum known serial number is 15 and the maximum is 1447.
In excellent condition with light overall wear and moderate toning to the silver. The raised features like the faces of the man and woman, are well defined, and a fair amount of the original gold plating remains visible. Its enamels are exceptionally well preserved -remarkable for an award issued in 1936- and show no repairs, flaking, or scratches. The riveted CCCP lettering is original to the piece and securely attached without repairs. The long screw remains unshortened, and the order includes its original, well-fitted screwplate.
A true rarity, especially in this condition!
The order was acquired directly from Bugayan’s relatives, who told us that the two awards shown below were also presented to him. While we do not have documentation to confirm this, further research may provide additional insight. The two awards are included at no extra cost.
Order of the Badge of Honor #138896 ‘flatback’
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 33.48 mm in width, 50.12 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 35.8 grams without its suspension.
This order is in excellent condition with problem free enamels and much gold plating present. Its connection ring has not been cut and it comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and original old ribbon.
Order of the Red Banner of Labor #247504
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 37.32 mm in width, 47.57 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 35.9 grams without its suspension.
In great condition with most gold plating present and crisp details. The red, white and blue enamels are beautiful and extremely well preserved without chipping, scratches or repairs. The order comes with its original double layer steel suspension and old ribbon and its connection ring has not been cut.
