Awarded to Sr. Sergeant Konstantin Aleksandrovich Bukin (Константин Александрович Букин)
For leading a group of four scouts in the first wave across the Dnieper River near Bykhov on June 23, 1944, securing a bridgehead on the western bank for advancing rifle units
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.49 mm in width, 48.46 mm in height and weighs 22.3 grams without its suspension.
This early order is in great, well above average condition considering the relatively low serial number. The enamels are problem free without repairs and show some small scratches only. The raised areas show light to medium wear and most details are still visible. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with its time period suspension and old ribbon.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
23.06.1944 with a group of 4 scouts in the first wave crossed the Dnieper River near the town of Bykhov, thereby ensuring capture of the bridgehead on the western river bank by our rifle units.
For his bravery and demonstrated valor, he is worthy of the state award – the Order “RED STAR”
He deserves order “CLORY III CLASS”
