For detaining several important enemies of the state!
Made of solid silver. The medal for Bravery measures 37.24 mm in diameter and 2.57 mm in thickness at the very edge of the medal. The height of the medal is 42.48 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 26.5 gram without its suspension.
The medal is in excellent condition with all details present. Even the higher laying parts like the rivets on the side of the tank and the canons are perfectly visible. Almost all of the original red lacquer is still present. The old serial number has been erased and a new number was re-engraved by the mint. This was done in a very distinctive style. The connection ring has not been cut and the brass suspension is time period to the award.
Duplicate awards were (seldom) given to awardees who lost their award due to exceptional circumstances beyond their control like combat or natural disasters. Scarce as such!
