In nice, about average condition with most details visible. Both sides show several small dings and scratches but none distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. Its connection ring has been cut and the early double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
