Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.96 mm in width, 48.89 mm in height and weighs 23.8 grams without its suspension.
In great, above average condition considering it’s an early piece. The enamels are problem free and well preserved without repairs and show some small dings and scratches only. The higher laying parts show light to medium wear and most details are still visible. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with its time period double layer suspension.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
In August 20, 1944, Sergeant Volkov exhibited bravery and courage. He created two passages through the enemy’s barbed wire and one passage through a minefield, which facilitated the infantry’s advancement. He accompanied the infantry to the front line and managed to capture two prisoners. For his significant acts of bravery, Sergeant Volkov is worthy of the governmental award of the order of “GLORY of the 3rd class”.
