Medal for the Defense of Moscow variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.25 mm in diameter, 36.77 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.0 grams without its suspension.
In worn condition but a fair amount of its details are still visible. The gold plating is mostly worn off but some of it is still visible around the lettering on its reverse. Its aluminium suspension is of a later period and its connection ring has not been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defence of Moscow between 19 October 1941 and 25 January 1942.
