Soviet Medal for Labor Valor #1475
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measurements; 34.46 mm in diameter and 38.78 mm in height (including the eyelet). Weight; 22.3 gram without its suspension. The solid silver suspension measures 33.12 mm in width at the top and 28.34 in height. Its eyelet is 4.72 mm wide. The reverse shows the stamped letter ‘N’ followed by the engraved serial number ‘1475’.
This early pre WW2 medal for Labor Valor is in excellent, well above average condition with its details crisp. Even the higher laying parts on both sides are pristine. The enamel is beautiful and without flaking. All parts of the silver suspension are original including the screw; the ‘Mondvor’ nut; the plate holding the original red ribbon and the screw plate tightening it all up. The medal shows a very appealing eve patina on both sides and its connection ring has not been cut. The brass screw has not been shortened and there have been no repairs.
Fully original and next to impossible to upgrade. Rare as such!
Awarded to laborers who dedicated themselves towards the building of a socialist society.Â
