Order of the Red Star #443925
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.76 mm in width, 46.22 mm in height and weighs 26.8 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. The minimum known serial number is 235999 and the maximum is 594967.
This order is in a nice, about average condition with medium overall wear. The red enamels are mostly present but show a small chip on the top op the 3 o’clock ray. Both sides show a medium patina to the silver and its screw has not been shortened. The order comes with a time period screwplate which fits well.
Probably awarded in the winter of 1943. Great research potential
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
