Medal for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945
Variation 2b with a U-shaped eyelet struck as part of the medal and the word ‘войне’ on its reverse further apart from the curved text ‘Германией’
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.14 mm in diameter, 36.34 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.3 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition with its details mostly visible and light to medium overall wear and a fair amount of the original gold plating still present. It comes with a brass suspension with a repaired (but fully functional) stickpin.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who were on active service during The Great Patriotic War (Military service of 3 months or civil service of 6 months). Also awarded to some allied forces such as the post 9 September 1944 Bulgarian Armed Forces.
