Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.06 mm in width, 36.64 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.2 grams without its suspension.Ā
In excellent, above average condition with most details visible. Both sides show several dings and scratches on both sides but none distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. Its connection ring has not been cut and the suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
