Awarded to Guards Lieutenant Petr Pavlovich Kamendrovsky (Петр Павлович Камендровский)
For courageous leadership and bravely in leading his platoon in the forefront of the assault on enemy trenches, inspiring his men to successfully capture the town of Talmaza [Moldova] with minimal casualties. During this engagement, he sustained a severe injury, resulting in the loss of his right leg
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order weighs 27.7 gram without its screwplate and measures 45.45 mm in width and 47.53 mm in height. Its mint mark and serial number are located at the bottom of its reverse.
In sublime condition with crisp details and very few traces of wear. The red and white enamels are beautiful without scratches, flaking or repairs. Much of the original gold plating on the edges of the order is still present and both sides developed an appealing layer of patina to the silver. It comes with a time period and well fitted silver screwplate which fits well and its screw has not been shortened.
