Medal for the Liberation of Belgrade
Variation 2 with an U-shaped Eyelet
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.19 mm in width, 37.19 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 18.0 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in nice condition with medium overall wear only and an appealing toning to the brass on both sides. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but most details remain visible. A fair amount of the original gold plating is present and its brass suspension is time period to the medal.
One of the more scarce campaign medals
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Belgrade between 29 September and 22 October 1944.
