Description
Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the RKKA #35713
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.22 mm in diameter and 35.87 mm in height (including the eyelet). It weighs 24.0 grams without and 28.5 grams with suspension but without nut. The rectangular suspension measures 25.38 mm in width at its narrowest point and 31.14 mm at its widest point. Â
In excellent, above average condition with most of its details well preserved. It still retains a substantial amount of gold plating on the XX’s and even the elevated areas on its reverse side exhibit minimal signs of wear, allowing the soldier’s eyes, fingers, and rifle, for instance, to remain clearly visible. Its suspension device and screw plate, stamped with the number #35713, are original, as is its ribbon attachment plate, which has unfortunately lost three out of its four ‘teeth.’ The enamel work is entirely intact and free from any repairs, displaying only minor dings and scratches that do not detract from the overall beauty of the medal.
A superb piece and very hard to find with the gold plating of the XX’s still present!
