Medal for the Construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway
Made out of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.09 mm in diameter, 37.11 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.6 grams without its suspension. The reverse of the eyelet is stamped ‘LMD’ (ЛМД).
The medal is in excellent condition with all details crisp with few dings and scratches. It comes with its time period suspension and ribbon. Note the die-crack on the woman’s hear which is typical for some of these medals.
Awarded to workers on the Baikul-Amur Railway (BAM). For 2 years outstanding service between 1974 and 1984.Â
