Soviet Badge for the Battle of Lake Khasan (29 July – 11 August 1938)
Made of gold plated brass and enamels. Measures 39.41 mm in height, 30.00 mm in width and weighs 11.6 grams without its screwplate.
The badge is in excellent condition with all details crisp and light overall wear. Even the higher laying details like those on the soldier’s face are perfectly visible. The enamels are well preserved and show some small contact marks only. Almost all gold plating is still present and its screw is full length. The badge includes a time period screwplate which twists wobbly, only securely gripping the screw at its base.
A beautiful piece in above average condition. Scarce as such
