Soviet medal for the Capture of Budapest
WW2 variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverseÂ
This medal for the Capture of Budapest is made out of gold plated brass. Measurements; 32.31 mm in diameter; 16.9 gram in weight (not including its suspension).
The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and full gold plating. The brass, double layer suspension is also in excellent condition and time period to the medal. A truly beautiful piece!
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
