Medal for the Defense of Leningrad 

Variation 1b with a ‘Long Horizon’

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 37.84 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.9 grams without its suspension.

In excellent condition with its details still crisp and much gold plating still present. Its dark, double layer suspension is typical for Medals for the Defense of Leningrad and time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut. It comes with its old ribbon.

Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.
