Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.17 mm in width, 48.99 mm in height and weighs 24.0 grams without its suspension. The serial number is located on top of its reverse.
In excellent condition with most details present and light overall wear. Its enamels on the small red star and the lower banner are well preserved without shipping repairs or even scratches. Its connection ring has not been cut and its double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
On April 26, 1945, during the fighting for the village of Seeburg, comrade Chaikovsky destroyed 2 enemy firing positions with his gun, which enabled the infantry to push forward. During a nighttime battle on April 27, 1945, attempting to repel enemy counterattacks near Pichelsdorf, comrade Chaikovsky shot 5 German soldiers with his personal weapon.
He deserves the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.
