Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.25 mm in width, 48.96 mm in height and weighs 24.1 grams without its suspension.
In great, well above average condition considering it’s an early piece. The enamels are problem free and well preserved without repairs and show some small dings and scratches only. The higher laying parts show light wear and even the raised details in the tower are mostly visible. Its connection ring has been cut and the order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
During the breakthrough of the enemy defenses near the village of Savchanka in the Sirotino Raion of the Vitebsk Oblast on June 22, 1944 he supported the advance of a rifle company of the 287th Rifle Regiment of the 51st Rifle Division. With his gun he destroyed 3 enemy wooden bunkers, 3 mounted machine guns and 1 light machine gun, enabling a successful advance and the capture of the enemy lines.
On June 27, 1944, during the fighting for the village of Zaborye in the Sirotino Raion of the Vitebsk Oblast, he destroyed 2 machine guns and suppressed the fire of 4 machine-gun positions, killing over 15 enemy soldiers in the process.
He deserves to be awarded the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.
