Made of brass. It measures 32.18 mm in diameter and 2.51 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.27 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 15.9 grams without its suspension.
In nice overall condition with a small amount of the original luster still present. The medal shows several dings and scratches on both sides but its details are still mostly visible. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal and the connection ring has not been cut.
The Medal “To a Partisan of the Patriotic War” (Russian: Медаль Партизану Отечественной войны) was a World War II Soviet award established in two classes. This was done on February 2, 1943, by decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. It recognised the courage of the partisans in their struggle to free the Soviet Motherland behind enemy lines. Its statute was amended by a further decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1947.
