Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol Variation 1b-2
Variation with a raised rim on its obverse and a smaller distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Made of brass. Measures 32.23 mm in width, 37.08 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 16.2 grams without its suspension.
This medal is excellent, well above average, condition with light overall wear. There are relatively few small dings and scratches and its details are still visible and crisp. A fair amount of the original luster is still present and the double layer suspension is time period to the medal. Its connection ring has not been cut.
Scarce
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
