Made of brass. Measures 32.22 mm in width, 37.91 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.0 grams without its suspension.Â
This stunning medal is in excellent, well above average, condition with most of the original luster still present. The medal shows few tiny dings and scratches and its details are perfectly crisp. The suspension is original and typical for a Defense of Leningrad medal and its connection ring has not been cut.
This is the earliest version of the medal and next to impossible to upgrade. Scarce as such
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.
