Description
Soviet Medal for Combat Merit #265206
Made of solid silver. Measurements; 32.21 mm in diameter and 2.15 mm in thickness. The height of the medal; 37.08 mm (including the eyelet). Weight; 17.3 gram without its suspension. The suspension measures 25.19 mm in width at its narrowest point and 31.65 at its widest point.
The medal is in nice, above average condition with several small dings and scratches. Nothing distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. The details are well visible and most of the lacquer filling the letters is still present. The silver suspension is original as is the brass screw; the nut; the plate holding the red ribbon and the screw tightening it all up. The connection ring has not been cut.
Most likely awarded in the first half of 1943.
Great research potential!
