Awarded to Sr. Lieutenant Klavdij Ivanovich Aleksandrov (Клавдий Иванович Александров)
For providing ammunition to the combat vehicles during combat operations against the invading Japanese Imperialists. By doing so he ensured the tank formations were all the time provided with ammunitions during all the stages of advance: in the arid desert terrain and in the swampy natural obstacles of the Greater Khingan mountain range
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels by the Krasnokamsk Mint (KMD). The order measures 44.48 mm in width, 46.31 mm in height and weighs 26.8 grams without its screwplate. Its serial number and mint mark are located on the bottom of its reverse.
In excellent overall condition with all its details still visible and a medium patina to the silver on both sides. The red and white enamels show some dings and scratches and a minor chip on its top ray but are without repairs. The order comes with its original, time period screwplate and its screw has not been shortened.
Brief description of his feat of arms or achievements:
Comrade ALEKSANDROV has been working on the role of aide to the head of the technical service and is responsible for artillery ammunition. He is extremely diligent in the matter of providing the artillery ammunition to the combat vehicles. In the battalions combat operations against the invading Japanese Imperialist during the period 09-23 August 1945, comrade ALEKSANDROV ensured the tank formations were all the time provided with ammunitions during during all the stages of advance: in the arid desert terrain and in the swampy natural obstacles of the Greater Khingan mountain range. Thanks to his daily work, the artillery armament in the battalion is in proper condition and there were instances of tank armament malfunction during the combat period.
He deserves to be bestowed with order “PATRIOTIC WAR II CLASS”
