Variation with a flat eyelet 1940s-1950s
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.15 mm in diameter and 2.37 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.15 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 18.9 grams without its suspension.
This medal for Military Merit medal is in excellent condition with its details crisp. Even the higher laying parts on its obverse show light wear only and all enamel is present. The obverse of the medal shows a dent on its left side edge next to the bayonet. Its connection ring has not been cut.
This military medal awarded for “combat action resulting in a military success”; “courageous defense of the state borders”; or “successful military and political training and preparation”. Also awarded for 10 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
