Soviet Medal for the Victory over Japan
Variation 2a with an U-shaped eyelet as part of the medal and a curved diagonal line in the ‘4’ on its reverse
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.33 mm in width, 37.16 mm in height (including its eyelet) and weighs 17.4 gram.
In nice condition with light overall wear only and most details visible. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but none distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. It comes with its time period steel suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel of the 1st and 2nd Far East Trans-Baikal Fronts, Pacific Fleet and Amur River Flotilla who were active between 8 August and 23 August 1945.
