Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.15 mm in height, 37.55 mm in width and it weighs 23.2 grams without its suspension. The serial number and mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
In great overall condition with light wear only and most gold plating still present on both sides. The details are crisp and the enamels are beautiful apart from a small repair at the 3 o’clock ray of the center star. The white enamels are flawless. The reverse shows a nice dark toning to the silver and its connection ring has not been cut. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the award.

Soviet military leader. (October 29, 1896, the village of Novonikolskoye, Tokarev Volost, Usmansky Uyezd, Tambov Province -?). Russian. In military service since 1915. In the Red Army since 1918. In November, he was appointed commander of the 15th motorized brigade of the KOVO. In April 1941, pom. commander of the 3rd cav. divisions. With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, from June 22, 1941, he fought on the Southwestern Front, participated in the Kyiv defensive operation. In September, he was sent to the Ural Military District to form the 74th Cavalry. division, upon arrival, took temporary command of the division.
From April 1942 Colonel D.A. Anokhin is an inspector of the cavalry of the Volkhov Front, since July – of the Bryansk Front. At the beginning of 1943 he participated in the Voronezh-Kastornensky operation. In March, he was appointed commander of the 6th reserve cavalry. brigades. Since August, he was at the disposal of the personnel department of the commander of the cavalry of the Red Army, in September he was appointed inspector of the cavalry of the Karelian Front. Participated in defensive battles in the Arctic and Karelia, in the summer of 1944 – in the Vyborg-Petrozavodsk operation.
