Soviet Order of Glory 3rd class #570244
Made of solid silver and enamels, Measurements: 46.53 in width, 48.56 mm in height and it weighs 21.3 grams (not including its suspension).
This Order of Glory is in excellent condition with crisp details. Even the higher laying parts like the clock in the tower are perfectly visible. The enamel is beautiful and free from chipping. There have been not repairs and its connection ring has not been cut. The order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension.
Probably awarded in the summer of 1945 so with great research potential!
The Order of Glory, modelled closely upon the Tsarist Cross of St. George, was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the armed forces, as well as junior lieutenants of the air force, for bravery in the face of the enemy. A person initially received the third degree, and would subsequently be promoted to higher degrees for further acts of bravery.
