Variation 1a with a ‘Short Horizon’
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.12 mm in width, 37.45 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.1 grams without its suspension.Â
In worn condition with some of the gold plating still present. There are a several tiny dings and scratches on both sides and many of the higher laying details are worn off. The suspension is original and typical for a Defense of Leningrad medal. Worn but nice early medal in combat condition with its original ribbon.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.
