Medal for the Defense of Leningrad variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 37.78 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.8 grams without its suspension.
In nice condition with most details visible and much gold plating still present. Its obverse shows several small scratches but not distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. The double layer suspension and its ribbon are time period to the medal and the it shows a beautiful luster.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.Â
