Soviet RKKA Excellent Shooting Badge (1938-1941)
Made of silver plated brass and enamels. The main medallion measures 45.30 mm in height and 36.28 mm in width. The total weight of the badge including its chain and suspension is 14.4 gram (screwplate not included). The mint mark mon dvor is located at the center of the reverse.
The badge is in excellent, well above average condition. The red, dark blue and white enamels are well preserved and fully original and show an internal crack on its suspension only. Almost all of the silver plating is present and the badge includes its original functional stickpin, chain and suspension. The production of the badge stopped immediately after the German invasion of the Soviet Union and therefore relatively few original examples survived.
