Researched Soviet Order of the Red Banner #231519
Awarded to Lieutenant of State Security (NKVD) Vasily Semonovich Soloviev (Василий Семёнович Соловьев)
Awarded for long service in the NKVD Belorussian by decree of 04.12.1945
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.26 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.51 mm in width and it weighs 25.3 gram without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
This Order of the Red Banner is in great condition with a fair amount of gold plating still present. The details are crisp and the beautiful red and white enamel are problem free without dings, scratches and flaking. Both sides show an appealing dark patina and its connection ring has not been cut. There have been no repairs and the order comes with its old suspension and ribbon.
Also included in this lot is a nice presentation box with satin and velvet lining.
